How to order your repeat prescriptions
Repeat prescriptions will be issued at the discretion of the Doctors and are normally for patients on long-term treatment.
If you are taking regular medication we use a computerised repeat prescription system. Simply keep the computerised slip which comes with your medication from the pharmacy and when you need to order, simply tick the items needed and hand it in at reception. However, you can also order your prescription in the ways below:
Ordering in person
Patients can drop off prescription order requests in person at both practice sites during our normal opening hours.
We recommend using the computerised printouts which would have been supplied with your last prescription, but we also reordering slips available which can be completed at the reception desk if you know the name(s) of your medication(s).
Ordering using Online Services (SystmOnline)
Online repeat prescription ordering is available via SystmOnline – please click the link at the top of this page.
If you would like to register for the SystmOnline, you will need to bring some ID to the practice, and the receptionist will be happy to supply you with a username and password for this service.
Ordering by email
From 01/11/2023 you will no longer be able to request your medication via email. We suggest that you request your medication via SystmOnline or via the NHS app. To set up for SystmOnline please attend the surgery with photographic ID.
If you do not wish to request your medication via SystmOnline or the NHS app, you can still complete a written request form in the surgery.
Non-urgent advice: Notice
Please allow a minimum of 48 working hours from receipt of the request at the practice, before checking that the prescription has gone electronically to your pharmacy.
Please note that, in the interest of safety, repeat prescriptions cannot be taken over the telephone.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will offered a review of regular prescribed medications at least once a year. This could be with the Clinical Pharmacist, Doctor, Nurse Practitioner or a Practice Nurse.
